About Our Business
Daniel Giagni started the company in 1994 after becoming a
licensed general contractor one week before the Northridge
earthquake. Prior to that, Daniel was a professional dancer turned
choreographer for film, television and stage. Two children and the
flop of his third Broadway show inspired his transition to the building
trade. After starting as a handyman, he has shaped the company
into what it is today.
Mark Ankeny became Daniel's partner in 2004 after working with
him since 1995. He designs and builds cabinets and also
coordinates the services of our sub contractors.
We currently have five additional members of the company.
Our Goal
We at Distinctive Builders try very hard to end each job on the same
friendly note that we start on. We have never advertised and rely
solely on word of mouth for all our referrals. We are not the least
expensive builders in town, but we are among the best. Maintaining
communication with our clients throughout the project is key.
Listening to what the clients want and keeping them informed on all
aspects of the project, even if the news is bad, is important to us. We
pride ourselves in doing what we say we will do and showing up
when we say we will show up.
